Five days in and Orion has reached the zone of lunar influence and is beginning manoevres to reach orbit. On the way, its cameras have been sending images of Earth and of the exterior of the capsule, thanks to cameras positioned on the tips if the solar panels.
Compared to the fuzzy, low res shots I was used to with Apollo, these beautiful pin-sharp images show every rivet in glorious detail.
I am looking forward to seeing photographs of the lunar surface from sixty miles up, as the Orion swings by in the next few days.
